Proper presentation of your artwork is one of those things that can really add up to a lot of money if you have it done by a framing shop. However, with a little time and practice, you can achieve virtually the same results yourself.

I'll let you in on a little secret: It costs me about $5 a piece to prepare my work at gallery standards. Speaking with other artists, I have learned that it can cost $100 and up to have this same process done professionally. By choosing to spend my time rather than my money, I can save hundreds of dollars at each show I do.
