Granola

Granola: It's not just for hippies anymore. Not to
say that I'm not a hippie.
 Ingredients:
3
c. rolled (old fashioned) oats
1/3 c. sunflower seeds
1/3 c. slivered almonds
1/3 c. pepitas (shelled pumpkin seeds)
1/4 c. wheat germ
1/4 c. sesame seeds
1/3 c. canola oil (or other non-olive oil)
3/4 c. honey (I use raw local honey for the health benefits)
3/4 c. shredded unsweetened coconut
3/4 c. golden raisins
1. Mix all the seeds, nuts, wheat germ, and oats
in a large bowl.
2. Pour in the oil and mix that into the dry ingredients.
3.
Measure the honey in the same cup as the oil. (The oil will help the
honey exit the cup.) Pour that into the mixture and mix well.
4. Spread
the oat mixture onto a baking sheet with a lip. Try to get it in as
thin a layer as possible.
5. Bake for 30 minutes, mixing every five minutes.
6.
Put the granola back into the large bowl. Mix in the coconut and raisins.
Continue stirring until the granola cools.
7. Douse with milk and enjoy!
